Factory Reset a Cisco Phone

Solution

RESET CISCO PHONE SETS

1. Unplug both cables from the phone.

2. Wait 5 seconds.

3. Press and hold # as you plug the phone back in.

4. The Headset and Speaker buttons will light up. When this happens, release # and enter the following key sequence: 123456789*0#

The light for the Headset button turns off after you press the 1 key. After you enter the key sequence, the Mute button lights and the phone boots.

Caution Do not power down the phone until it completes the factory reset process, and the main screen appears.

5. When the main screen appears, press the Settings (gear) button. Navigate through the menu as such: Settings --> Admin settings --> Reset settings --> Security Settings --> Reset

6. The phone will prompt a reset. Press the reset softkey.

7. Let the phone sit for 30-40 seconds. Exit the settings and the regular phone menu should be back up.
