Overleaf Professional Features Now Available to UMD
We are pleased to inform you that Overleaf professional features are now available to all UMD faculty, staff, students, and affiliates through a new UMD Overleaf portal. Overleaf is a cloud-hosted tool accessed through a web browser for typesetting professional-looking documentation, including publications, dissertations, theses, and notes. These features are available by using the Login with SSO option. Existing Overleaf accounts may be linked to UMD accounts to use these features, too.
Professional features include:
- Unlimited collaborators
- More compile time
- Real-time track changes
- Reference manager and Git integration
The UMD portal includes a template gallery for commonly used document formats, and to make it easier for people who are new to Overleaf to get started. If your unit is interested in having a template added to the gallery to be available in the UMD portal, please contact it-research-consult@umd.edu.
Overleaf also offers a number of webinars, tutorials, and documentation for self-paced learning.
If you have any questions about the new service, please contact it-research-consult@umd.edu.
