Logging into Screenconnect WITHOUT UMD Credentials

NOTE: Do not attempt this before contacting the ESSIC OITC. The Help Desk has to first authorize your usage before you can use Screen Connect.

Logging into ScreenConnect for the First Time (non-UMD credentials)

1. Click Log In.

2. For username, type your directory ID ending in “-sc” (ScreenConnect).

3. For your password, type the temporary password Ttemp954

4. Because this is your first time logging in, you will have to prove your identity through a unique code sent to you email. Check your email inbox and spam folder for an email coming from cloud@screenconnect.com. When you get the email, open it and copy and paste the code into the ScreenConnect browser. Check “Trust this device”.

5. Choose a new password for your ScreenConnect account that you will remember. This can be your UMD password.

Accessing Your Computer

1. Log in to https://essic.screenconnect.com/ with the credentials you just created.

2. Your dashboard should look something like this:

3. The single item in the middle is your work desktop. Double click it to remote into your computer

4. For any questions, please submit a ticket with the ESSIC Helpdesk.
